Adding more water makes the same dose a larger, easier-to-read mark on the syringe. It does not change how many doses the vial holds.
Vial sizes and starting volume
IGF-1 LR3 is commonly supplied in 1 mg and 2 mg vials. The calculator opens on a 1 mg vial with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water — a starting point for the arithmetic, not a recommendation. Change either and everything recalculates.
That combination gives 0.5 mg/mL, so one insulin unit holds 5 mcg and a 20 mcg dose is 4 units.
