Vial size and water volume are a starting point for the arithmetic, not a recommendation.

Adding more water makes the same dose a larger, easier-to-read mark on the syringe. It does not change how many doses the vial holds.

Vial sizes and starting volume

TB-500 is commonly supplied in 5 mg and 10 mg vials. The calculator opens on a 5 mg vial with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water — a starting point for the arithmetic, not a recommendation. Change either and everything recalculates.

That combination gives 2.5 mg/mL, so one insulin unit holds 25 mcg.

What dose to enter

No dose is prefilled for TB-500, because no range for it could be cited.

Animal studies exist but none establishes a human dose, and no human pharmacokinetic study could be cited.
