Vial sizes and starting volume
KPV is commonly supplied in 5 mg and 10 mg vials. The calculator opens on a 5 mg vial with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water — a starting point for the arithmetic, not a recommendation. Change either and everything recalculates.
That combination gives 2.5 mg/mL, so one insulin unit holds 25 mcg and a 200 mcg dose is 8 units.
